TOGETHER, the International Network of Territories of Co-responsibility

Objectives

The TOGETHER Network aims to promote co-responsibility for the well-being of all in the present and for future generations:

at the local level by its members acting in the places where they live (schools, companies, collective actors, within territories, called "territories of co-responsibility") and exchanging their practices
at the global level through the network as a force for proposals and dialogue.

Origin

Together is the network of territories developing the SPIRAL approach of co-responsibility for the well-being of all, called Territories of Co-responsibility. in order to facilitate the pooling of experiences and the deepening and dissemination of methods, it has been informally established as the result of a first international meeting in September 2009 in Mulhouse... Later TOGETHER International gave birth to TOGETHER France and TOGETHER Morocco, French and Moroccan networks of territories of co-responsibility.

Organization and functioning

The Network Together is organized and functions according to its Statutes and its Rules of Procedure. Namely informal networks can be created in the framework fo the international network on a geographical basis (regional, national ... network), thematic basis (thematic networks for exchanges concerning the same issue) or by a kind of actors (network of the hospitals of co-responsibility, network of schools of co-responsibility etc.).

Partnerships

Together establisehd partnerships with other networks with similar objectives as CittaSlow network(partnership agreement signed on 4th November 2013).

Activities

Every year TOGETHER network prepare and realize a yearly action plan with the participation of all its members... see the Action Plans 2014, 2015 and 2016. From 2017 TOGETHER has a Roadmap, prepared in 2016 within the framework of the CO-ACTE project and approved by the Extraordinary General Assembly of November 4, 2016 as a guideline for the following years. In 2020 the Together Network launches the project “Together let's learn to make the right choices" in partnership with other networks.

International meetings

Every 3 or 4 years an International Meeting of the Territories of Coresponsibility takes place... Read more on the First International Meeting of the Territories of Co-responsibility in Mulhouse on September 25th 2009, the Second International Meeting of the Territories of Co-responsibility in Mulhouse on November 22nd and 23th 2012 and the Third International Meeting of the Territories of Co-responsibility, took place in Braine l'Alleud on 2nd to 5th November 2016.The latter resulted in an Extraordinary General Assembly on 4 November 2016.Click here to see the proceedings. The Fourth International Meeting which was initially planned to take place in Cape Verde was finally held online given the context of the covid pandemic. It took place in the form of thematic workshops from October 31, 2020 to November 4, 2020 and ended with the General Assembly of the network on November 4, 2020. It was the starting point of the project “Together let's learn to make the right choices".

Memberships

It is possible to join the Together Network either as full member for a Territory of Co-responsibility, or as a full member for a public entity (local, regional, national or international), or as an associate member to any natural or legal person sharing the network's goals and wishing to join.
