What: This three-day festival about the ‘Collaborative Economy’ will bring together a global community of entrepreneurs, designers, makers, economists, investors, politicians and citizens to build a collaborative future. Day 1-2 will gather 500 professionals and public officials. Day 3 will be free and open to the public.

"Youth for the Future" is a project aimed at increasing the participation in decision-making, concepts of democracy and active citizenship of youth refugees arriving in Sweden with their families.

This article addresses the challenges that people are encountering when deciding to adopt a complementary currency without fully articulating the problem or the context, and consequently many projects fail. Also it describes the work of Community Forge, a non-profit association that designs, develops and provides complementary currency systems and tools.

We are a group of 40 volunteers are sharing our knowledge and literacy skills in schools with children who are at risk of early drop-out. We started out with mathematics, where children’s needs were greatest, but we are eager to expand to other courses and to non-formal educational activities. Confabitare, an association of residents of condominiums, owners or tenants, organised within a single project of two actions: 1 - Organisation within the condominium of a shared food expenditure through a condominium purchasing group. 2 - Sharing of caring needs for the elderly through a shared "care worker" of the condominium.

Since 2008, in Padua, a collective of students, housed in a building owned by the municipality which had been unused for a long time, started a bike repair workshop, which also has a coffee service, a bar, a small kitchen and a public internet point with a free wi-fi hotspot

Givrum.nu is an organisation that works with user-driven urban development. Using extensive knowledge about citizen-participatory processes in the city, Givrum.nu has among other things created life in empty buildings for a temporary period and created awareness-raising events where innovative ways (cultural, social, etc.) of developing cities are put on the agenda.

Living Architecture articulates the vital link which exists between architecture and life. This synthesis of abstract and physical considerations has shown itself in practice to be an ideal means to address many of the demands of modern life, particularly how to live ‘sustainably’.

Time banks emerged in Italy in the 1990s and are now common in many countries. The principle idea is the exchange of services between people, calculated in real time regardless of the nature of the service, thereby placing everyone on the same level of pay. Time banks create space and essentially "time" for equality, social links and activities.
