The Peace Classes are an active methodology developed in different schools within multicultural cities in Belgium to help kids, parents and teachers to better understand one another, build empathy, acquire and develop collaborative behaviours through value sharing, emotions and personal development.

A community of lay Combonian missionaries obtains a space whereby it starts a process of co-habitation by the pooling together of resources. The new space is also aimed at being a place of welcome and hospitality for people in need.

The Coroutine is a hybrid space made by and for citizens providing an environment to work (co-working), exchange ideas, info, goods and services around the local life (“Veilleuse”+citizenlab) create, innovate and design new objects and concepts with different available tools (fablab+incubator).

THE REPAIR CAFE CONCEPT IS SPREADING AROUND THE WORLD!

Repair Cafés are free meeting places and they're all about repairing things (together). In the place where a Repair Café is located, you’ll find tools and materials to help you make any repairs you need. On clothes, furniture, electrical appliances, bicycles, crockery, appliances, toys, et cetera.You will also find repair specialists such as electricians, seamstresses, carpenters and bicycle mechanics. Visitors bring their broken items from home. Together with the specialists they start making their repairs in the Repair Café.

What: Organised entirely by students of public policy, the EPPC conference “Breaking the Cycle: Rethinking Poverty in the Developed World” aims to address the pressing challenges that we continue to face in the 21st century.

The Athens Time Bank was created in May 2011, at Sydagma Square, when thousands of people gathered there to participate in mass strikes and demonstrations.

Pehlivanköy is a village of 2100 people. A Coordination Group of 20 people has been created in the framework of Responding Together project, and four actions are planned.

Malkara is a town of 28000 people. The Citizens’ Assembly was established in 2009 with a General Assembly composed of 76 people. 8 actions are planned to be carried out in the framework of Responding Together project.

Muratlı is a Town in East Thrace of 20,000 inhabitants. It is without a citizens' assembly but has a coordination group constituted ad hoc to participate in Responding Together project. Six ideas for actions are being debated to be carried out.

Although İpsala is a small rural city, it has already an active Citizens' Assembly with 10 working groups. Three proposals of actions are planned to be realized in the framework of Responding Together project

The project C.R.E.A. (Surplus Food Recovery Centre) aims to collect surplus food (i.e. goods that cannot be sold but that are still consumable), both fresh and packaged, from the small, medium and large retailers, for their redistribution to people living in conditions of poverty and social exclusion. The main actors involved in its organisation are people who live in the Community of St. Benedetto al Porto, who through this work implement their emancipation and autonomy. The project is partly implemented and partly remains to be implemented.

After the closure of a factory, some laid-off workers occupy it, giving rise to a new cooperative by starting a project of production reconversion in the direction of environmental sustainability. They thus create new workspaces and income.
