Belgium: Charleroi

Charleroi is the third largest city in Belgium with 210 000 inhabitants in a difficult social context due to the crisis of the industrial traditional sector. The coordination group ("Commission d'Accompagnement") has been created in 2010 to coordinate the Social Cohesion Plan (PCS).

Belgium: Florennes

Florennes is a small belgian city located in Wallonia with 11,000 inhabitants. The coordination group is made of the local Social Cohesion Plans coordinators (PCS).A meeting of the « Responding together » project was held in Namur in March 2013 to discuss further the results of the PCS evaluation in regards to the SPIRAL methodology on well-being and social cohesion and resources mobilization in the new project.

Belgium: Liège

LIège/ Matineco

Liege is the fourth largest city in Belgium with 200 000 inhabitants. The coordination group is made of the local Social Cohesion Plans coordinators (PCS). Italy: Palermo

Palermo is Sicily's cultural, economic and tourism capital with approximately 850 000 inhabitants. Palermo's Re Federico Co-working Space is a partner organisation in the Responding Together project. Its objectives involve identifying and strengthening innovative practices of pooling together local resources to tackle impoverishment and inequalities in Sicily. By facilitating such initiatives, the project aims to strengthen cooperation and enable common paths of work between citizens and public institutions alike.

Portugal: Lisboa

Lisboa is the capital of Portugal. It is located on the north bank of the river Tejo's mouth. The city itself has 550.000 inhabitants (2 millions with suburbs). As all municipalities in Portugal its coordination group is a local social network created in the framework of the national law of social network (1998). Taking into account the big dimension of the city the actions are organized by "priority neighbourhoods" with a participative framework.

Romania: Cluj

Cluj is a Romanian city of about 400 000 inhabitants. Its coordination group was created in 2010 and the 2nd cycle of SPIRAL was carried out in the period 2010-2012. A first meeting of the "Responding together " project was held in December 2012 during which it sought to set up a methodology to unleash creativity and to expand the coordination group.

Turkey: İpsala

Although İpsala is a small rural city, it has already an active Citizens' Assembly with 10 working groups. Three proposals of actions are planned to be realized in the framework of Responding Together project

Turkey: Malkara

Malkara is a town of 28000 people. The Citizens’ Assembly was established in 2009 with a General Assembly composed of 76 people. 8 actions are planned to be carried out in the framework of Responding Together project.
